A high cut which winds high into a thrust to the face.
From the text we can execute the waker cut thus:
- Cut a zornhauw from the right.
- The opponent parries high with a hanging
- immediately wind the hilt high to the right and thrust over the hanging from above.
- If he lifts up higher with the blade to push this aside go over the top of his blade to mutieren to the inside line with the thrust.
A Play with the Waker

|Step and cut an Oberhauw|
|Parry the blow upward||Turn the tip of the weapon over his dussack inward at his face.|
|Parry up and away||Pull around the head and cut from the right across at his left opening at his face.|
|Parry down and away||Remain in the bind and turn the point in toward his face|
|Parry down and away||Remain in the bind and turn the point in toward his face (winding outward to the right)|
|Parry downward||Change through under and cut over his write wrist with the false edge, and thrust the point in.|
